Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

If you would like to make an appointment with one of our Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, or Dietitians, simply call the Milsons Point Medical Centre reception staff on 02 9023 9999. Alternatively, you can book an appointment online by clicking the Book Online button at the top right hand corner of this page.

What should I bring and wear to my first appointment?

During your first appointment, it is best arrive an extra 10 minutes before your appointment to complete some forms. Please also bring any referrals from your GP or Specialist, any medical scans or blood test results you might have, and wear some loose fitting clothing (especially shorts if you have a lower leg problem and are seeing the Physiotherapist or Chiropractor). This makes it easier for us to assess the area.

What is the cost to see the Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, or Dietitian?

The cost to see the Physiotherapist and Chiropractor is $110 for the first session, and $85 for follow up sessions. For those with private health insurance, most funds will cover around 50% of the costs and you can expect an out off pocket cost of around $50 for your first session, and around $40 for any follow up sessions. This may vary based on the level of cover you have, and it is best to check with your health insurance company for more accurate quotations. For those with a referral from your GP and an EPC or Care Plan, all sessions will be charged at a flat rate of $30.

The cost to see the Dieitian is $120 for the first session, and $80 for follow up sessions. Some private health insurers cover Dietitian services but these may vary based on the level of cover you have, and it is best to check with your health insurance company for more accurate quotations. For those with a referral from your GP and an EPC or Care Plan, the first session will cost $50, and any follow up sessions will cost $25.

How do I get to the clinic?

We are located inside the Milsons Point Medical Centre on the corner of Alfred Street South and Glen Street. If you are driving, there is meter parking along Alfred Street, Glen Street, and Cliff Street. If you are catching public transport, we are directly opposite the Milsons Point train station on the Alfred Street side. When you arrive, let the receptionists know you are there.
